Said to be the first heard at the creation of the universe, the sound Om has deep roots in yoga as well as many major religions. The sound, pronounced A-U-M, is used to help connect us with this original source. When done correctly, you can feel the vibration from your pelvic floor all the way up to finally radiate out from your crown chakra leaving you feeling powerful and at peace at the same time. This mantra is typically done at the beginning and/or the end of classes to set the tone and intentions for the practice.
