About this Retreat
In our Caribbean Retreat Center in Costa Rica, the Sacred Ancestral Plant Ceremonies are immersive and personalized, designed to let go of our boundaries and find deep connection. The healing therapy with plants is also appropriate for people who require special healing, like alcohol, drugs, and psychological and anxiety problems. Powerful natural medicines are used as complementary and alternative cancer treatments.
Surrounded by the magnificent trees of our tropical landscape, the tender care of our shamans, the delicious and healthy food, the best spiritual experience of your life is waiting for you. Your presence is needed in the years to come to start the dawning of a new day on this planet. Join us on this journey of Love!
Our Past Healers
To ensure the best possible experience, The Goddess Garden actively seeks out highly experienced and skilled healers and facilitators to conduct our plant medicine ceremonies.
Mashtahãe (Costa Rabelo) is a Brazilian medicine man and ceremony leader recognized by the Sacred Fire of Itzachilatlan of Brazil and aligned with the Yawanawa Tradition.
Meet Alietta Barrios, a Colombian healer who has been working as a holistic therapist for fifteen years. Her name as a holistic and spiritual therapist is Paya Warmi Sonqo (Paya) which in the Quechua language means “The grandmother who heals with the heart, the wise old woman.”
Read our recent blog post for more details about the tradition of using plant medicine and the ritualistic aspects of our ceremonies.
We offer comfortable rooms with two Queen size beds, spacious terraces with furniture, ceiling fan, refrigerator, desk, and private bathrooms with hot showers (solar-heated water). Each room also has high-speed fiber-optic internet access. Additionally, we offer dorm rooms that sleep 4-6 people.
Naturally, the most important part of our retreat center is the exotic flowers and the animals that inhabit the huge jungle trees throughout the property. In our beautifully designed gardens, you can be a part of it, either by watching, listening, or just relaxing in a hammock or taking a dip in our magnificently designed pool. Our center is located 200 yards from the beach. We also have three yoga shalas available for yoga and meditation, a healing spa, and a restaurant on site.
We serve healthy and nutritious food every day prepared from scratch with organic ingredients. Our food is mainly vegetarian, and upon request, we serve fish, chicken, and seafood as well. We offer an Ayurvedic kitchen and delicious Caribbean-style food as well. For the preparation of our meals, we use organic vegetables and fruits locally grown.
We accommodate the following dietary requirements:
