Love is at the heart of everything yoga stands for. Whether it’s to love yourself, others, or the idea of universal love, here’s what yoga has to teach us about one of it’s most important concepts.
Just like yoga poses, you can’t force love. Forcing in both cases will only lead to pain. Instead, you must embrace and accept it without judgment.
Love and yoga both require mindfulness. In yoga, we practice mindfulness by allowing your mind to be at peace, remaining present and connecting with the breath. You can’t love completely unless you are truly aware and mindful in your relationships.
Yoga also teaches us that love can be found within us. It is not something we need to seek or long for. Just like yogic breathing or awareness of the mind-body-soul connection, love is something we always have and can always come back to whenever we want to cultivate it.
